STORIES OF PALESTINE IN MUSIC AND SONG

A COLLABORATION BETWEEN PALESTINIAN MUSICIANS
AND

CHAI FOR ALL ENSEMBLE

Researched and composed in the Occupied Territories in 2018-2019, this uplifting music and spoken word performance tells the story of Palestinians’ creative acts of resistance to colonisation; an embroidered wedding dress preserving a girl's memory of a place, a defiant giant flag taller than the separation barrier, a story of the Unesco registration of ancient terraces, a mythic song of a lost and found indigenous seed variety and more.

Featuring Palestinian composer, singer and bağlama player
Zaid Hilal.

This performance has evolved from our 2018 tour
